I want a camcorder that has good video quality, and a long battery life for less then 200 hundred dollars,

I dislike cameras that are hand held like the flip, or the Zi8. I’m sorry if I sound rude but I really want a good quality HD camcorder, thanks

i think im gonna start saving up for one, right now i have a HP digital camera, i bought it way back in 2004 and it eats up batteries like crazy, i can take pictures for about 10 minutes with it before it dies. some things i would like are a timer and good battery life. i just need some ideas!
i forgot, id like a fast shutter speed too, right now mine takes forever to take a picture!!

MUST have a good microphone (no cracking or background noise)
MUST have a input plug (for: Microphones, Headphones, TV cored etc…)
MUST record onto a SM card.
Night vision would be nice.
Films well at night/dark (not too much grain)
can (doesn’t have to) Auto and Manuel Focus
Needs to be able to zoom (duh)
and any other cool/needed features would be nice…

IF anybody knows of a camera like this and has all the MUST and or All of the features I would appreciate it very, very much!

Im trying to pick my new phone and i am between these 2 phones however i am also open to seeing other phones like these. I want a full touchscreen, 3.5mm headphone jack, fairly good camera and video camera, wifi, a keyboard aswell (if possible) and good battery life. thanks

Hey there. Im going to be starting my freshman year at college this fall. I have never personally owned a digital camera and am looking to buy one. This is what looking for:

-A good zoom to where it isnt blurry after being zoomed in on
-Long battery life
-Video capable with good sound
-different photo effects

If there is anything else I should be looking for, please tell me. I would like to try to keep it under 200 dollars but if its a little bit over that is ok. Thanks for all your help.

I want to buy a new digital camera recently, and I have been looking at the Pentax A30 for quiet some time. It seems like a great model, but it is not very popular so I can’t find a lot of user reviews on it. For the ones I did find, they tend to have mixed opinions.

I have also been looking at (Canon A570,) Canon 850 IS, Canon 1100 IS, Nikon L18, and Fuji F50fd.

The most important function I need is optical image stabilization, which leads me to choose A30. But I really like the blue canon 1100IS, and I heard canon is great.

I hope someone can help me compare these cameras in terms of: anti shake effectiveness, picture quality, low light shooting, time between shots, noise, battery life, overall value, and worth of money.

I also consider wide angle, video shooting, and other functions, but they are not the most importing factors.

I just need some advice or please share your experience.

I want to buy a camera for everyday use and also for my year-long study abroad trip to Florence next year. I’m not a pro but not technologically incompetent. I have already looked at Consumer Reports, internet comparison charts; I’m just tired of it, and I want the easy way out – tell me what camera to get!! (I know, I know, the lazy way)
1. Reliability – a reputable brand
2. Price – my budget is flexible but I’d like to stay within 0-300
3. Shutter speed (I think…) – I want to be able to take SEVERAL pictures quickly, one after the other, without waiting for my camera to rev up. Obviously without a flash this is a lot easier, but if there’s a type of camera or feature that makes both flash and flashless pictures faster to take, that’d be so ideal.
4. Long battery life – either rechargeable one or it takes AA rechargeables. (My Kodak did NOT allow me to use rechargeable AAs!)
5. Video – good quality videos with audio.
6. Zoom – I’d like above 3x optical if possible
