***READ ME*** These days you can still find some models of camcorders that lack the ability to plug in an external microphone, and that would normally mean you could not improve your audio without upgrading to a more expensive camera, and in this economy that’s not always possible. Current camera shoot fairly good video without video lighting, and outstanding with video lighting, but when it comes to audio in most cameras, it’s.. well, less than good. if separate lighting is acceptable to improve your video quality, then you should be open to capturing separate audio, so you can greatly improve your audio quality. This is simple these days just by buying a Zoom H1 recorder, and plugging in a simple lapel microphone (the better the mic the better the audio) and the H1 will not only capture the audio, but it also will allow you to monitor it in real time if needed, as well as act as an amplifier.

In many mobile unboxing videos, i have seen that camera is at almost 90 degrees to the produce. how do they set it up like this.

I was wondering if there was any plug in mic i could use for interviews. Whether it be a lapel mic, wireless, or hand held, I just need a mic for my camera so I can do decent interviews and cancel out background noise. Any suggestions will help!

I have a budget of 0… and I want to buy myself a Canon camera package optimized for hand-held, indoor low-light action & portrait photography – for family gatherings, parties, cultural events, indoor sports, etc. I have other cameras already that I will continue to use for videos, telephoto, and outdoor stuff.

I can either get a 0 Canon T3 camera body with a 0 Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens, or for the same money I can get a 0 T3i with any of the cheaper lenses in the 0 range, like the popular 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (which is not a fast lens at all) or an EF-S 50mm f/1.8 (which would give me cropped shots).

Which one will give me better results for my specific application?
